Bed!

My bed is all set up and looks great! I'm so excited to go to bed tonight. I'm in my pjs and it's not even midnight yet. I'm hoping this bed will usher in a new era of better sleep. Fingers crossed.

I let 516 assemble it for me. I helped out but I wasn't the total controlling nazi that I would have been if someone else had been helping me. And he was really good about it. He was careful and thoughtful, read the instructions and corrected himself when he got something wrong. He was funny and I had a really good time with him. I promised I would feed him and we went for Indian. We talked a lot and I found myself thinking that I really like him. I hope we can be friends. He's clearly not interested though so maybe it's better if we're not friends. I have enough friends.

Anyway, it's going to be very busy for the next 24 hours. I'm not sure how I'm going to get everything done before I leave for NYC on Thursday morning. I'm feeling a bit anxious because I haven't started packing, I have no map or guide book and I haven't phoned my friend. But at least I have a brand new bed!

Night y'all.

What makes you so sure he doesn't like you?

You might want to cut back on the vegan cookies before a long trip without easily accessible rest rooms.

Did he make any jokes about "breaking the bed in"? Cuz, you know, if I was there, I totally would have cracked that joke. Oh, I know, you would have slapped me across the face and into next Sunday, but it would have been worth it. ;)

Asshat, I was thinking about this over the weekend and my instinct is that he's not that into me. However, I'm not sure whether or not to trust my instincts anymore because all the guys I've "dated" in the last couple of years have been quite aggressive but not very nice. So I'm not sure if I've started to expect aggressive behaviour as the norm for dating or if I just don't recognize a nice guy anymore. Or both. He did just text me as I was typing this comment.

GH, he did joke around about that a bit but I ignored him a bit. I get all shy and awkward around boys I like. Sigh. Anyway, he was actually lying on my bed right after he finished assembling it and I thought of all kinds of witty things I could have said. An hour after he left. I'm such a loser.

I suspect your instincts may have been a little damaged by your recent experiences. Not every guy you meet is going to be as "aggressive" as a certain jerk was at a certain car wash, and thank God for that. Maybe 516 realizes there's a difference between an invitation to assemble a bed and an invitation to hop in it.

I hope you're right Asshat.
