Evolution got derailed somewhere...

MFV thought it was necessary to have "the talk" with me just as I was going to sleep last night. Now, he is considerably younger than me and I don't expect him to know what he wants, be decisive or make a commitment. He is, after all, a man. He told me at 2 am that (i) he is the way he is (commentary: uh yeah, duh, I can accept that); (ii) he is a commitment-phobe and cannot make a commitment the way that I expect to be committed to (thought: uh yeah, we're not even dating, let alone "together"); (iii) he is not ready to have kids but, in several years, when he might be ready to have kids, I may be too old to have them (conclusion: way to state the obvious my dear).

It sounds as though we are perfect for each other! We'll just be BFFWB foreverandeveramen.

From this, I conclude that:
1. We are not in an exclusive relationship.
2. He can go Tiger Woods on me at any time.
3. I am free to fool around with random boys.

So, I intend to bring the new guy to his knees later tonight and beg for it. And then I'm having coffee with finance guy tomorrow just to prop up my ego.

Men, are they actually good for anything but games?? Gah.

Hmmm. I should ask the women who visit my site what else men might be good for. It's probably a short list, though. Here's a few ideas off the top of my head:

* men know how to light a charcoal grill
*

That's all I got.

I suspect he's freaking out because he thinks you're moving to Vancouver for him. It doesn't matter if you are or not, he's freaking out because it FEELS that way to him. Here's how it goes:
1) we (women) make a decision that might in part include some man, but in no way depends on them
2) men see that part and assume that's the whole deal
3) men freak out and feel the need to 'warn' us before said decision (ie that we're not exclusive)
4) once decision has been made (we move somewhere, go to visit), they pull out of the whole deal within about 2 weeks, cracking under the pressure of our presence.

It's happened to me more than once.

For your own personal sanity, if you move out there, don't expect jack s*%& from him - if he wants to be with you, he'll find you. If you go after him, he'll crack and run away. Especially if he's younger. They can't handle it.

But you are fabulous and exciting and you'll be bringing them to their knees out there too! Who needs him?

Oh Asshat, you will always be my favourite! So, can I come visit before I head out west? I need some puppy love :)

Thanks Anonymous, I intend to make him work for it ;) He's my bff and I intend to play that card until he cracks and begs to tap my ass. He really likes my ass. Don't worry, I have a plan!
